Evelyn Ibhade Zibili a.ka. Evelle is the definition of a songstress. An exceptionally gifted & talented songwriter, performer and recording artiste in a class of her own. Evelle is a born winner with numerous national singing titles, and a best soundtrack award amongst her many achievements.

In 2010 she won 1st prize in a singing competition with her 4-piece group, in Dakar Senegal on Nestle (African revelation). She eclipsed this in 2014, when she beat more than 8,000 hopefuls to win the keenly contested prime-time TV hit Nigerian Idol!

She has thrilled audiences around the world with her powerful vocals and bubbly personality. Her exceptional stagecraft gift saw her invited to perform alongside Angelique Kidjo at the Prize for Literature Awards in Nigeria, and in 2018, she headlined the Martin Luther King, Black Heritage Month showcase in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Between 2014 and 2016, Evelle performed in over 60 Universities in Nigeria on the Cliqfest Campus Tour with Emirati Telco giant Etisalat Nigeria.

Following her Nigerian Idol success, she released her debut song Time to Shine in 2016, and the Evelle journey to success began to gather pace. Her follow-up single Na Work dropped on March 9, 2018 to critical acclaim, with video direction from the highly sought-after Patrick Elis. Na Work is a love song fusing Afro-soul with elements of dance and pop, that further cemented Evelle’s reputation as a performer of exceptional star quality.

She won the award for the best movie soundtrack at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) for the song Kilimanjaro, which featured in the hit Nollywood movie Tatu, directed by the award-winning Don Amope (Wedding Party). In 2020 she released the very spiritual single Kilimanjaro, to critical acclaim.

In the same year Evelle represented Nigeria as a judge on the hugely popular Pan African syndicated Music Reality TV show Amazing Voices Africa, that showcases the finest talent from Nigeria, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Ghana and Kenya.

In spite of the accolades and the awards Evelle isn’t ready to slow down anytime soon. A self-confessed workaholic who is only just scratching the surface of her career!
